Replacement Unit - Wireless Room Thermostat for CM927 CMS927 CMS927B1049 Honeywell
7-day programmable room thermostat to replace existing Honeywell CM series wireless thermostats. Uses 868MHz 'Ramses 2' RF protocol. This thermostat is nearly identical to Honeywell Home's T3 Series Thermostats (with the exception of not having the +1 function and no flame icon when there is heating demand. The user display otherwise is identical).
It will bind directly to an existing Honeywell BDR91 Wireless Relay Box (these are square not rectangular, see note below), whereas the T3 series won't. This means you do not need to get an installer out to fit a new thermostat.
Will replace the following Honeywell CM series products:
- CM921, CMS921, CMS921B1042
- CM927, CMS927, CMS927B1049
- CM727, CMS727, CMS727E1016
- CM721, CMS721
The Wireless Programmable Thermostat works with the following Honeywell Wireless Relay Boxes:
- BDR91
- R8810A OpenTherm Bridge
With the older 'rectangular' wireless relay box that came with very early CM900 Series thermostats (model numbers HC60NG or R6660D), we recommend replacing it with a BDR91 (or equivalent wireless relay box), since we cannot guarantee the Wireless Programmable Thermostat will work perfectly with this product. A technology issue with older Honeywell relay boxes is causing this problem, not the thermostat. Regarding this issue, please see Resideo's August 2021 support article.
