A high performance VOC free water-based impregnating sealer designed using the very latest technology in fluorochemistry. This versatile and easy to apply penetrating and invisible sealer provides a durable, non-filmforming protective barrier on porous acid sensitive surfaces including polished and unpolished natural stone, grout joints, paving, concrete and render. ROCATEX C-10 Ultimate Sealer allows the surface to breathe and provides excellent oil, grease and water repellency, stain resistance and ease of cleaning.
DIRECTIONS
Shake the bottle before use and ensure surface to be treated is completely clean, dry and free from dirt, grime and any excess cement and grout residues. If necessary, first wash the surface with a dilute solution of ROCATEX Tile & Stone Renovator 1:10. Rinse well to remove residues and leave to dry. It is important to remove any factory applied sealer or wax from the surface of porcelain before sealing.
Apply this sealer generously using a ROCATEX Sealer Applicator or sponge, brush, roller, paint pad or spray applicator and remove any excess solution after 15-30 minutes. A second application is recommended after 1 hour to ensure complete coverage and again remove any excess solution after 15-30 minutes.
Treated areas should be dry enough to walk on after about 1 hour but will take 72 hours to become fully resistant. During this time DO NOT cover the surface and wipe up any spills immediately. Consideration should also be given to any moisture trapped in a surface on newly laid floors in terms of covering the surface after sealer application.
To check that the surface has been adequately sealed a simple water bead test can be performed. This is achieved by applying a teaspoon of water onto the sealed surface and leave for 15 minutes, if bead is absorbed then another coat is required. Do not apply in direct sunlight or in temperatures exceeding 25°C.
Do not allow any residues to dry on the surface and you must NOT apply if an underfloor heating system is on. Do not grout until 4 hours after applying the sealer. Tip: Without prior experience or in cases of doubt, try the product in an inconspicuous area prior to use.
COVERAGE
Higher porosity surfaces:
Per 1 litre approximately 7.5m2
per coat.
Lower porosity surfaces:
Per 1 litre approximately 15m2
per coat.
Polished surfaces:
Per 1 litre approximately 30m2
per coat.
Grout joints:
Per 1 litre approx. 1000 linear metres per coat.
MAINTENANCE
Routinely sweep the floor and wash with ROCATEX Tile & Stone Cleaner, clean walls and work surfaces with ROCATEX Tile & Stone Cleaner.
STORAGE
Store in a cool, dry, frost-free environment between +50°C and +25°C. Shelf life can be up to 2 years in the original unopened containers.
